Our plans and dreams do not come without significant costs. The Finance Team, led by Carol Etter, is tasked with researching grants, loans, and donations from a combination of sources. Our prospective funders include our own congregation members, former members of Central Congregational and St. Matthew UCC, charitable foundations, and denominational loan agencies. Already, the United Church of Christ has contributed nearly $200,000 to our rebuilding – – mostly through the “Hope Shall Bloom” campaign following Hurricane Katrina.
We are asking individuals to make pledge commitments spanning over 5 years. Pledges can range from $1 in total to $1,000 or more per year, depending on one’s means. Truly, every pledge helps, and your participation and commitment speaks volumes.
