(or the E-Team as we like to call ourselves!)

Let’s face it…for the UCC, the term “Evangelism” usually conjures up some pretty uneasy  thoughts for many of us.  Therefore, at Central St. Matthew we call ourselves the “E-Team”.

But make no mistake, we see our mission, our job, our vision at CSM is to develop events that will serve as easy ways to invite friends and neighbors to come and visit with our members whether it is for a Sunday church service or for a different fun event during the week.

While in attendance, we hope that our guests will feel welcome and that we as members can be used by the Lord Jesus Christ to do His will.  Perhaps there may be some guests who may even want to join our branch of Zion at Carrollton and Willow Streets!

We see the whole church as members of the E-Team – because each one of us can tell a story about the goodness of the Lord.

We are striving to:

‘Let our light shine so that they may see our good works and glorify our Father which art in heaven.’

We confirm the UCC motto that

“No matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here…”
